The Stories of Dublin:

Seven accomplished storytellers have joined together to bring you three extraordinary nights of storytelling, in ghostly, comedic, and, wondrous tales, in the heart of the city.

A different programme will be presented each evening.

In Catching the Sun in a Sieve there will be astonishing stories of Dubliners as they speed downhill in sub-standard cars, wake up late for exam day, swim naked in the Liffey, live the life of a 17-year-old rock star in a Cabra shed, or, arrive in the city for the first time.

Wonder in Never Called Me Mother at the wronged wife and her fatal revenge, the defendant whose wig went on fire in Green Street Courthouse while he expired before sentence of death was passed, or how a story was created after a strange encounter.

Tremble in Spectre Lovers at the tale of the Lady of the Loo, the Haunting of a Ballplayer, the Blood Field, the dead fiddler at the wedding, or, the woman who knew not which year she was fated to die.

22nd – 24th July 2013 @ 8:00pm in the Main Space Smock Alley Theatre, Dublin 2

Starring: Philip Byrne, Gráinne Clear, Niamh Keogan, Richard Marsh, Brendan Nolan, Seamus O’Loughlin, and Deirdre Sullivan.
